Mayta is a national award-winning vocal arranger, songleader, composer, and vocalist from Boston, MA. She has deep a passion for using harmony as a tool to connect to her Jewish roots & community. A current student at Berklee College of Music, Mayta founded and currently directs the school's first Jewish a cappella group, "BerKalit" (Winners of national Jewish music competition, Jewish Star, 2023), and has arranged for several vocal ensembles/organizations throughout the country, including Six13, A Cappella Academy, The Shul Sisters, The International Championship of A Cappella Open, & the American Conference of Cantors - GTM Convention.
Head Songleader at Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake for three consecutive summers, Mayta uses vocal harmony as a tool to facilitate powerful prayer experiences and communal engagement. With her unique musical and leadership skillset, Mayta combines the human connection of singing together, with the spiritual experience of hearing traditional Jewish melodies harmonically transformed. Specializing in arranging, singing, & songwriting, Mayta strives to combine her Jewish faith with her passion for music to create and spread holiness in her community and beyond.
