Fashioning Collegiate Identity: Jewish Sororities and Self-Presentation in 20th Century America


Shira Kohn is a member of the High School History Department at The Dalton School in NYC. She, along with Hasia Diner and Rachel Kranson, co-edited A Jewish Feminine Mystique? Jewish Women in Postwar America (Rutgers University Press, 2010) and is currently working on a monograph about the history of Jewish college sororities, focusing on their responses to social and political movements in the 20th century.
