Volunteer Day 2025

The tradition of helping organizations throughout Metro Detroit and Israel improve lives continues during Adat Shalom's 11th Annual volunteer Day. Volunteers of all ages are invited to be a mensch. Volunteer Day is made possible thanks to a very dedicated planning committee.


Projects include, but not limited to:

  • Create no-sew fleece scarves
  • Assemble bag lunches and snack bags
  • Make tug toys for a local animal shelter
  • Pack baby baskets
  • Illustrate notebooks for patients in a local hospital
  • Tie t-shirts into reusable bags
  • Assemble bags dry soup ingredients
  • Make food for Chesed Committee's Shabbat deliveries
  • Projects connected to Israel


Donations appreciated before and/on volunteer day: Collection bins are downstairs by the Learning Community office.

  • Clean used & clean t-shirts
  • Travel & regular size toiletries
  • New socks for kids & adults
  • Food, towels, blankets, sheets & toys for animals
  • New gloves and hats
  • Baby items - diapers, wipes, food, & formula
  • Feminine hygiene products
