What does a good Catholic Italian girl from LA have to say about Israel? Well quite a bit — and she's got a lot of people listening. If you're not one of Caroline D'Amore's 141K Instagram followers, then please let us introduce you to the Pink Haired Pizza Girl! Caroline is the owner of “Pizza Girl” restaurant in Venice Beach and has appeared on Hell’s Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey. Caroline is not Jewish, but she is married to an Israeli, and since October 7 she has used her online platform to advocate for Israel as a proud non-Jewish ally. Help us welcome her to Detroit to talk about what it means to be pro-Israel and the importance of speaking out. We'll enjoy an Italian-themed dinner at Soul Café and learn a bit about the café as well as the Soul Studio.
The Loop is a Federation initiative focused on engaging with and bringing together Jews living in the westernmost suburbs of Detroit (think Walled Lake, Northville, Novi, Commerce, Plymouth), but all are welcome to attend.
$50 per person includes discussion and dinner.
Space is very limited. Please register in advance.
