A panel discussion of mosaic art in the contemporary fine art world.

Speakers

Natalie Balazovich, artist, gallerist and Director of the Janice Charach Gallery.

Dr. Vince Carducci, cultural critic and Dean Emeritus at College for Creative Studies.

Sue Giannotti, artist and founder of Mosaic Opus Studio, instructor and collaborator at The Chicago Mosaic School. 


Moderator

Ruth Tyszka, artist, lawyer, researcher and writer. 

 

Please join us at the Janice Charach Gallery for a panel discussion featuring creative experts of culture and art to discuss the topic entitled, “From Ancient Floors to Gallery Walls: What Is Mosaic Art Now?” The panel discussion is set within the gallery hosting the Mosaic Arts International 2024 exhibition, one of the foremost annual exhibitions of mosaic fine art in the country. These three art and culture experts will give creative context to the exhibit, and context to mosaic art and tradition within the broader contemporary art world. The Mosaic Arts International exhibition is held annually by the Society of American Mosaic Artists. Dawnmarie Zimmerman, Executive Director of the Society of American Mosaic Artists, will be present to introduce the exhibition.
