You may be familiar with the Jewish character Shylock from Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice, or you may know that Jewish people have been involved in Broadway productions from its inception. But did you know that Jews have been involved in the theater, either as creators or characters, since the 3rd Century BCE? Join Rabbi Aaron Bergman as we look at Jewish actors, playwrights and acting coaches as well as analyzing how Jews have been portrayed in the theater by non-Jewish and Jewish writers and actors.
