Join us as we travel to three Jewish communities in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula!
We will be visiting new friends at Temple Jacob in Hancock, where we will learn this synagogue’s long history and then travel north to experience the Keweenaw Peninsula. Our trip continues along Lake Superior’s coast to Marquette, where Temple Beth Sholom congregants will host us for a tour of their spiritual home and lunch on the magnificent shoreline. The final leg of our tour contains more sights and a visit to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to learn about the Jewish experience on both sides of the Canadian border. Highlights also include: Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, learning about the Jewish influence in the UP, visiting thriving fourth-generation Jewish businesses, and so much more!
