You may have heard of Aislin. His real name is Terry Mosher, and he has been working non-stop as a cartoonist here in our fascinating city since 1967. During that time, through his caricatures and sketches, he has commented on just about every political, social, or sports-related subject in the news: Mayor Jean Drapeau’s Expo ‘67; the 1970 October crisis; the 1976 Olympics and the election of René Lévesque that same year; the first Referendum on Quebec separation in 1980… and the second one in 1995. All sorts of Canadian public figures have been featured in Terry’s work, from Trudeau (both Pierre and Justin), to hockey stars, and baseball Hall-of-Famers - and, of course, ordinary people just making their way through life.

Aislin has just published his 57thth book, a fond look back at the 36-year existence of the Montreal Expos, our city’s first (and hopefully, not last) major league baseball team. The introduction is written by none other than the team’s first owner, Charles Bronfman.

Signed Aislin books will be available before and after the talk. Come out to hear the cartoonist reflect on his career and share some stories – bring your own popcorn!
