Rebecca Levy is the Executive Director of Kehilla Montréal, a charitable organization based in Montreal. Kehilla Montréal is committed to addressing the pressing needs of the community, particularly in the realm of social housing.
Born in Tangier, Morrocco, Rebecca immigrated to Canada in 1976, completed her bachelor’s degree in 1989 and master’s degree in social services in 1991 at Université de Montréal.
Rebecca dedicated her professional career to the Jewish community and her work experience extends from Social Worker at JIAS, Clinical supervisor at Agence Ometz to her most recent position of Director of the Social Services Department at Cummings Centre.
Rebecca was the recipient of Federation CJA Award for Professional Excellence and has served as consultant to community organizations helping them develop and implement a variety of programs responding to poverty. Not only does she run the daily operations of Kehilla effectively and expertly, but Rebecca also brings an unparalleled level of compassion to enhance the lives and respond to the wide-ranging needs of the most vulnerable in our community.
