Join us to learn more about the role Israel plays within ancient and modern Jewish history and culture, and how this impacts the Canadian Jewish community.
Anthony Housefather, MP, will lead a conversation on May 14th, describing the why's and how's of his support for Israel within the Canadian government. On June 6th, Richard Marceau will share his experiences as a formal Jewish community advocate, acting as liaison between Jewish and non-Jewish communities in Canada.

Anthony Housefather MP is a Member of Parliament representing Mount Royal. He has served as the Chair of the Justice and Human Rights Committee, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Labour, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Services and Procurement, and Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Treasury Board.
Richard Marceau is a former Canadian politician born in Quebec City. He was first elected to the House of Commons in 1997 and was re-elected in 2000 and 2004. Marceau converted to Judaism in 2004. Since 2006, he has worked as a senior advocate for the Jewish community and is now Vice-President of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA). In 2011, he published A Quebec Jew: From Bloc Québécois MP to Jewish Activist, detailing his spiritual journey and involvement in the Jewish community.
