Mitzi works as an accountant for a Canadian non profit and is a former caregiver to her father, who battled ALS for 10 years, ultimately passing away in September 2022. When she’s not mastering spreadsheets, you’ll find her working on her left hook at the boxing studio, indulging in quality time with her loved ones, hunting down the perfect oat latte, or working on her side hustle - Almonds for ALS.
Three years into her caregiving journey, she suffered from burnout and learned firsthand the importance of self care. In 2018 she published the e-book Thrive Through Self Care - a guide to kicking stress, depression, and burnout to the curb.
For this edition of Lunch Together, she’ll guide you on how to best care for yourself while caring for your loved one - drawing on her training in yoga, fitness and nutrition as well as her personal experience incorporating self care into her life between caring for her father and working full time.
As a bonus, this will be the first Lunch Together that Rabbi Grushcow will attend upon her return from sabbatical.
RSVP and payment required by Friday, April 5 if you’re joining us for lunch. The talk is open to all, in person and online.
