Ora Hirsch Pescovitz, M.D. President of Oakland University, has more than 30 years of experience in health centers, industry and universities where she has been responsible for creative innovations, entrepreneurial discovery and strategic planning. Since becoming president of Oakland University, Ora has increased student and academic success, scholarship and community engagement. Ora is the daughter of the late Rabbi Richard Hirsch who brought Jews and Blacks closer in advancing civil rights in the U.S. and brought Reform Jews closer to Israel in advancing Zionism.
