In this emotionally charged adaptation, the struggles of the Lomans to find their place is heightened by the question: Are they a Jewish family? 

Death of a Salesman premiered on Broadway in February 1949, going on to win both the 1949 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play. Buloff's Yiddish translation followed soon after.
