Visiting from Haifa, Israel, Professor Yossi Chajes will present his new book, The Kabbalistic Tree, a finalist in the Jewish Book Awards. He will explain when, where, and why Jews began to visualize and draw mystical shapes of the Divine in this gorgeously presented history of the “maps of God”.

J. H. (Yossi) Chajes grew up at Temple Israel, and is the Wolfson Professor of Jewish Thought in the Department of Jewish History at the University of Haifa.

Fee includes lunch: $12 for Temple Members with reservations, $18 for Non-Members and walk-ins. Questions? Connect with Lisa at [email protected].

Sponsored by the Cohn-Haddow Center for Jewish Studies, Wayne State University, honoring the memory of Rita Haddow.
