War Crimes: Blowing Up Media Distortion With Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kohavi & Natasha Hausdorff

Hosted by

This past December, South Africa launched proceedings at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians. That allegation is only the latest in a string of claims asserting that Israel has committed war crimes in Gaza in recent months, charges which have received widespread media attention, in Canada and around the world.

Beyond the headlines, and with armchair activists and pundits acting as supposed legal authorities, it can be difficult to navigate through a mountain of anti-Israel accusations to arrive at the truth.

On Tuesday, January 30, HonestReporting Canada (HRC) is hosting a thought-provoking Insider Briefing webinar – the first since Hamas’ October 7 massacres – challenging the widespread accusations of war crimes in the Gaza Strip, in an effort to separate fact from fiction.

The program will feature a discussion between Lt.-Gen Aviv Kohavi, the immediate past chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) alongside Natasha Hausdorff, an international law expert, barrister in London, and a director of UK Lawyers for Israel. The discussion will be moderated by HRC Chairman Jonas Prince.

The Insider Briefing is free to attend and no registration is required. The Livestream will take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 7:30pm ET at https://honestreporting.ca/webinars/insiderbriefing/.
