Join us for an uplifting and inclusive afternoon dedicated to fostering unity and understanding! In celebration of Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM), we are delighted to present Beyond Words: The Sometimes Art Project. This special event features a captivating story time and an engaging art activity with local authors Rebecca Chriqui, Alecsandra Kakon, and Alysa Langburt.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Friendship Circle - Sunday Circle, a welcoming space where individuals of all abilities converge to learn, grow, and forge lasting connections. Participants of all ages will have the unique opportunity to craft meaningful artwork that embodies the essence of unity.

This event goes beyond the little ones; we extend a warm invitation to parents and caregivers to join a special activity focused on cultivating an inclusive environment both at home and in the wider community. Let's unite to champion inclusivity and nurture a more understanding and compassionate community. Let’s celebrate what makes each of us unique because inclusion shouldn’t be a sometimes thing. Bring your smiles, creativity, and open hearts! This program is designed for children between the ages of 5 and 8, but everyone is welcomed!

About the Sometimes book:

Sometimes is a heartwarming story that explores the universal desire for inclusion in memory of Lev Langburt. The book uses warm and pop colors, vivid creative storytelling, and narration to capture feelings, thoughts, and emotions from the perspective of children, specifically children with special needs living in today’s world. We hope this book inspires you to be kinder and more inclusive of people with disabilities.
