Kabbalat Shabbat Service - 7pm

Musician and scholar Dr. Lorry Black shares gems from across the synagogue world, along with beloved Temple worship music.

Recently arrived from Los Angeles, Dr. Black is a sought-after percussionist, arranger, and conductor in the Jewish and secular music world, and a thought-leading academic with a Masters in percussion and a Doctorate in Sacred Music. Along with playing for the likes of John Williams, Alan Silvestri and David Newman, Dr. Black is currently exploring the role music played in French concentration camps, as well as the delightful world of klezmer mallet percussion. Join us this Shabbat Shira, January 26th at 7pm, as Dr. Black joins our talented music team and treats us to the best sounds from across the Jewish world, along with familiar Temple tunes.
