Learn about some of the important discoveries made by archaeologists in Israel in the past few decades. We will learn how the sites were discovered and what was found in them. More importantly, how do these discoveries add to our understanding of ancient Israel, daily life and important historical events?

Topics will include new research on the early kingdom of Judah, ancient synagogues, discoveries in the Dead Sea region, and new sites found in the past few years that add to our understanding of the first settled sites in the Near East.
