Shabbat Lunch & Learn: Israel at 75 - The Detroit Jewish Press Reports on the Growth of a Nation
Hosted by
Adults
This year, Israel celebrates 75 years of independence as a Jewish state. During this era of tremendous growth, Jewish Detroiters have made great contributions toward Israel’s success. For more than 100 years, the Detroit Jewish Chronicle and the Detroit Jewish News have reported this remarkable story.
The community is invited to view the exhibit and hear from Mike Smith, the exhibit's curator. Mike will talk about the process of curating the exhibit, the specific stories included, and answer questions.
Shabbat morning services begin at 9:30am and will be followed by the lunch-and-learn with Mike Smith at approximately noon. Hosted in partnership with the Detroit Jewish News Foundation.
