Drop off your gently used books, audiobooks, records, cd's and dvd's to Bookstock, metro Detroit’s biggest and best used book and media sale. Bookstock is a community service project where proceeds benefit literacy and education projects in the City of Detroit, and counties throughout metro Detroit and northern Michigan. Bookstock 2024 will run April 7 - 14 at Laurel Park Place in Livonia.
Celebrating our 20th year of "supporting the need to read," Bookstock has generated nearly $3 million for literacy and education projects throughout Michigan. The entire process of collecting and sorting gently used books and media, and organizing and staffing the sale is 100% volunteer driven. More than 600 volunteers work together throughout the year to produce the weeklong Bookstock sale. All leftover books from Bookstock are donated to non-profits and charities in our community.
We appreciate you learning about Bookstock and welcome your participation: donate, volunteer – and please shop the sale! We accept all kinds of gently used books plus audiobooks, records, cd’s and dvd’s. *NO magazines, encyclopedias, medical & law books, cassettes, or VHS please.
