Bassem Eid - Human Rights Expert Speaks About Palestinians and Israelis

On November 28th, Bassem Eid will attend Montreal to share his views on the Israel-Palestinian conflict, provide information about human rights violations against Palestinians, and offer insights about the ongoing war.

Bassem Eid is a Jerusalem-based political analyst, human rights pioneer, and expert commentator in Arab and Palestinian affairs. Eid was born in the Jordanian-occupied Old City in East Jerusalem, and his place of residence became the United Nations Refugee Works Agency (UNRWA) refugee camp of Shuafat. Bassem founded the Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group.


Bassem Eid has dedicated his life to protecting and advocating for Palestinian human rights, and this ongoing fight has equipped him with the knowledge to be an important voice for Palestinians worldwide. For his work, Bassem was acknowledged by the Washington Post as "an internationally recognized rights campaigner" and has received multiple awards for his achievements, including one from the McGill University Faculty of Law and the International Human Rights Advocacy Center.
