Parenting and Grand-Parenting in Times of Tragedy: Talking to our Children about Israel

As we continue to watch the heartbreaking news around Israel and the trauma of war, how do we support our children in their own understanding? In this session we will learn with experts about the current events and conversations around best practices on talking to children about Israel and the current situation. 

We will hear from David Kurzmann, Senior Director of Community Affairs for the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.

We will then hear from Kerri Lanoue, Director of Behavioral Health and Evie Lynn Breuer, Senior Director of Community Outreach & Wellness at Jewish Family Service (JFS) and follow up with facilitated discussions led by JFS family therapists Aliza Bracha Klein and Rina Sabes.
