These states shape our lives in a plethora of ways. At home and abroad, Democracy versus Autocracy- A new Cold War has intruded. A ferocious arms race and fear of conflict are some of its most salient consequences. The three superpowers remain eyeball to eyeball…hopefully working together in diplomacy, peace, and reconciliation. The course explores these themes in International Relations.

Marvin Hershorn graduated from Loyola College, Honours, BA, University of Waterloo, MA, McGill University, PHD, all coursework completed. He taught Humanities and Political Science at Dawson College for 39 years and served as a permanent part-time Political Science faculty member for 38 years at Concordia University, specializing in Politics of the Holocaust and International Security. He has taught Global courses at Cummings Centre since 1981.
