Details

Sukkot Sounds, Coalition Series, and Repair the World are excited to welcome you to an unforgettable evening of music, food, celebration, and community in Detroit on October 1st, 2023.

We'll kick off the evening with a Happy Hour from 5:30-6:30pm with DJ Rebecca Goldberg. At 6:30pm, we'll bring up our event organizers for a quick welcome, open the buffet, and dive into a delicious meal together. At 7:15pm, Detroit legend Illingsworth will take the stage joined by Rufio Jones, and James Gardin will carry us through the final hour with an incredible performance beginning at 8:15pm.

Why Coalition Series?

Established in 2018, the Coalition Series unites Black and/or Jewish Detroiters thru food, art, and music to break down cultural segregation and spur collaboration. Let's build on the legacy of partnership between our communities, starting with a foundation of authentic trust!

What's Sukkot Sounds?

Sukkot Sounds, powered by The Well, is a grassroots initiative that engages with musical artists, educators, and lay leaders to enrich, diversify, and revitalize the ancient Jewish cultural celebration of Sukkot.
