Tu B’Av, also known as the Jewish holiday of love, is right around the corner. That means it’s time to celebrate one of our favorite forms of love: self love! Young adults are invited to join us for an afternoon full of self love and wellness activities, where we’ll have the opportunity to unwind, learn about Tu B’Av, and treat ourselves to a lovely afternoon at VFW Park in Royal Oak. Feel free to stay the whole time or just swing by for the parts that work best for you.
Our day will include hands-on crafts (tie-dye included!), opportunities for mindful movement, a sprinkle of Jewish learning, chair massages, and refreshing seasonal snacks (smoothie bowl bar anyone?). After the event, Rabbi Jeff will lead a short bike ride to Lincoln Tap for anyone who'd like to join him for happy hour! Please see our full schedule below:
3:00-3:45pm Arrival, smoothies and smoothie bowls available from Marilyn's Detroit, tie-dye, other self-guided crafts, chair massages, etc.
3:45-4:20pm Girls Gone Fit with Porshe Miles Grant - an exciting, high energy, beginner-friendly workout that combines cardio, dance, and strength training (for all genders!)
4:20-4:40pm Cool down with some Jewish learning about Tu B'Av with Rabbi Jeff!
4:40-end Tie-dye, crafts and activities, chair massages still available
5:00(ish) Optional: Bike to Lincoln Tap with Rabbi Jeff (or just meet him there!)
Due to the generosity of donors, subsidized tickets are available for $12 per person.
The Well expects all participants to be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. For those who are not, we request that you wear a mask while in all indoor settings. Of course, masks are welcome for all regardless of vaccination status.
