Our community is full of talented artists, and there’s no better time to learn from them than during Shavuot season! (Note that Shavot officially begins Thursday night, May 25th). Inspired by Shavuot, ShavuART invites you to join us at Friendship Circle's Soul Studio & Gallery in West Bloomfield for an afternoon of hands-on workshops led by local artists. Whether you’re a seasoned painter, a beginning cartoonist, or just looking to relish in the joys of creating something with your hands, ShavuART is for you - no artistic experience or skills required!
Our afternoon will include two rounds of workshops that you'll select in advance, plus a bonus learning session with Rabbi Jeff, and of course, light lunch and drinks along the way!
We are thrilled to share our four featured artists and their diverse talents!
Taylor Beardsall: Strength Sticks
Steffany Ellenstein: Foundations of Crochet
Yevgeniya Gazman: Turning your Art into Custom Products
Jacob Smith: Getting Lost in a Maze
Check out this page for full workshop descriptions.
Due to the generosity of donors, subsidized tickets are available for $20 per person and include art materials, instruction from the artists, and a light lunch.
We never want cost to be a barrier to participation; please reach out to Erica ([email protected]) for financial assistance.
The Well expects all participants to be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. For those who are not, we ask that you wear a mask while in all indoor spaces. Of course, masks are always welcome regardless of vaccination status.
