Point-Counterpoint" with Professor Howard Lupovitch, Director of the Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies at Wayne State University & David Bernstein, founder of the Jewish Institute for Liberal Values (JILV). Free and open to the public, this conversation will explore the complex relationship between progressive politics and its impact on the attitudes toward Jewish people, Zionism, and the State of Israel. Has Progressivism become contrary to Zionism and to the best interests of diaspora Jews?
Please join us for an open dialogue, moderated by Rabbi Aaron Starr, the spiritual leader of Congregation Shaarey Zedek, on relevant issues contributing to the growth of antisemitism.
SAJE is endowed by a generous gift from Cis Maisel and supported by Carol & Ronald P. Fogel, Sheri & David Jaffa, and Elaine & Michael Serling through The J's Pillar of Light Program.
