Volunteers of all ages will do hands-on projects for organizations that are improving lives in Metro Detroit. Volunteer Day is made possible thanks to a very dedicated planning committee.
Projects include, but not limited to:
tie no-sew fleece scarves and blankets
Cut plastic bags to make plarn (plastic yarn)
Assemble bag lunches and snack bags
Bake dog biscuits for a local shelter
Assemble baby baskets
Illustrate bookmarks
Sort book donations
Assemble activity bags for kids in the hospital
Donations appreciated before and/on volunteer day: Collection bins are downstairs by the Learning Community office.
