We are thrilled to announce our first exhibition in our new space, and what better way to celebrate it than with a party!
On October 13, join us for the opening party and vernissage of Public Intimacy featuring the work of Berlin-based artists Sophia Hirsch and Johannes Mundinger. The first presentation of their work in Canada, Public Intimacy takes its title from its opposing themes of public and private spaces. Playing on the idea of “pulling back the curtain,” Public Intimacy is an interactive photography- and textile-based body of work that teases the tensions between individual freedom and social responsibility.
Mingle throughout our space to be among the first to experience the exhibition, and get a chance to meet the artists as well as the exhibition team. A cashless (card-only) bar will be available to guests, with all-night music by DJ Michele Azur.
Admission is a suggested donation of $5, or pay-what-you-can. We hope to see you there!
Please note that although the exhibition is installed throughout all floors of the building, portions of the exhibition are displayed on the second and third floors At the time being, the upper floors are not accessible to individuals with limited mobility.
