On Tuesday October 25 at 2pm-3pm, the Cummings Centre invites you to join a virtual event in which authors Linda McDonald and Jeanne Sarson, two retired public health nurses, share their experiences that helped give voice and understanding to women who have been silenced. Linda and Jeanne will discuss their book, WOMEN UNSILENCED: Our Refusal to Let Torturer-Traffickers Win, which explores the impact of unthinkable violence committed against women and girls through multiple perspectives. This book discloses their “underground” caring work and offers “kitchen table” research and insights, using women’s storytelling on multiple platforms to educate readers on the unimaginable layers of perpetrators’ modus operandi of violence, manipulation, and deceit. This event is $10 for members and $15 for guests.
