Come join Goni* for her incredible six-part workshop series, The Power of Photos: Exploring Relationships and Identity Through Photographs. Please read through this description until the end, as it contains important information that you need to know in order to complete your registry and join us.
We will be a small group that meets on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30pm at L'Annexe, the Ometz Centre for Young Adults for six consecutive weeks. Our objectives are to explore, process, and better understand certain relationship dynamics in our lives as well as share our experiences and receive support and empathy from the other participants.
The group will enable participants to process and communicate our experiences with different relationships we have or have had (not just with our families, friends, and community, but also with ourselves, amongst others) and explore our identities through photography. It is not, however, a workshop that focuses on the techniques or practice of photography itself.
Please note that "signing up" here on JLive is a PRE-REGISTRY for this workshop series. In order to complete your registration, it will be necessary to have a follow-up chat with the group facilitator who will reiterate the group purpose, check with you that it's a good fit for your goals, and give you all the information you'll need to join us and be successful. She will be in touch shortly following your pre-registry via the email address you provide to receive your "ticket" or via your phone number (if you prefer). There is a $20 deposit required to reserve your spot, which you will get back at the end of the workshop series if you attend all sessions; Goni will give you the details and be able to answer your questions.
*The workshops will be facilitated by Goni Ketain-Meiri (MSW), a case manager at L'Annexe who has previously received phototherapy training at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and has past experience facilitating phototherapy groups with diverse populations.
