THE PIONEERS (HALUTZIM) OF ISRAEL: IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME!

Rabbi Yonatan Dahlen

Tuesdays, 11 AM – 12:15PM ON ZOOM

May 24, 31; June 7

Israel was created, in no small measure, by pioneers: groups of people who came to untamed areas, settled in them, and cultivated them. The Halutzim, as they have come to be known as, were the great pioneers of pre-state Israel, and are remembered for their persistence, their dedication, and their heroism. What we've forgotten, is their revolutionary way of reimagining Judaism!

Over these sessions, we'll examine a theology of nature, magic, and community and ask ourselves if there's anything to their courageous religious beliefs that we should incorporate in our own Jewish practice.

Tuition: $45
