Please join Jewish Family Service’s Legal Referral Service and the Jewish Bar Association of Michigan (JBAM) for an informative and practical discussion from three top experts on successful strategies in eviction defense and related landlord/tenant matters.


Meet the presenters:


Anita Scott-Meisel has been practicing law for 16 years, and joined Lakeshore Legal Aid in November of 2021 to work specifically with Eviction Prevention efforts. Her prior legal experience was in family law, working in private practice and at Wayne FOC. She is a contributor to ICLE and LACHES and has conducted many trainings in eviction defense.


Judge Marla Parker has served on the 47th District Court in Farmington/Farmington Hills since 1993. Before her election to a judgeship, Judge Parker was a magistrate for the Court for 3 years and maintained a private law practice in Farmington Hills.


Ira Auslander has been in private practice for 50 years. His practice areas include real estate law, business law and landlord/tenant law. His typical clients in landlord/tenant matters are property management companies.
