Hosted by We Need to Talk, Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit, Jewish Family Service of Metro Detroit
No filters, it's time to get real! Based on her own struggles, Division 1 volleyball player, TED Talk speaker, social media influencer and mental health advocate Victoria Garrick lays down a real and honest talk about mental health. Victoria will discuss her personal experiences with depression, anxiety and body image issues and what she's learned that she hopes will help other young people who are working to overcome similar challenges.
We Need to Talk (WN2T) is a community-wide youth mental health initiative aimed at increasing awareness of mental illness, reducing stigmas and improving access to services. Developed by Jewish Detroit’s human service and engagement agencies, synagogues and temples, and youth serving organizations, WN2T is managed by Jewish Family Service with assistance from the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.
