*UPDATE: Due to the state of the ongoing COVID-19 surge, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this program. We hope to reschedule in February and will inform all registered attendees of this update.**
Join The Well and Repair the World Detroit to celebrate Tu B'Shvat, as we learn about local gardening and food sourcing initiatives, and complete a seed sorting project for Keep Growing Detroit.
The seed packets we prepare will benefit Keep Growing Detroit’s Garden Resource Program, a program that helps provide seeds to over 2,000 farms and gardens. More information on the Garden Resource Program can be found here: http://detroitagriculture.net/our-work/garden-resource-program/.
We'll also hear from Dave Mancini, co-owner of Supino Pizzeria, about how and why they source local ingredients that make their pizza extra delicious. Seed sorters will receive a voucher for a free slice of Supino's pizza at the end of the evening!
COVID-19 Protocol: Proof of vaccination must be shown upon arrival and masks are required to be worn for the duration of the program. Food will not be served at this event, so make sure to eat dinner before, and redeem your free Supino's later!
