Get Artsy. A Jewish DIY Art Project.

Hosted by

Adults

Join Federation Women's Philanthropy Up Next for a creative way to meet up and have fun! Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, this event will now be held virtually, but the same great time is virtually guaranteed.

Working artist Gail Rosenbloom Kaplan will help us create our very own beautiful work of Jewish-themed art. She’ll also give a brief presentation on the fascinating history of Jewish art and why she carries on this tradition of artistic expression. Some participants will also be able to help with a collaborative kiddush cups project that will be donated for use in Jewish Senior Life dining rooms.

This event is limited to 50 participants and registration closes on January 16 to give Gail enough time to assemble project kits.

You’ll be able to choose one of the following projects:

Beaded Yad, $36

Beaded Kiddush Cup, $36

Sand Art Mezuzah, $36

Sand Art Challah Board, $50

Kit pickup will be on Friday, January 28th at the Federation Building from 10-12 pm. Please contact Amy Wayne at awayne@jfmd.org or 248-203-1483 if you have any questions or need to make other arrangements.

What’s Up Next?

Up Next is a Woman’s Philanthropy life stage group for Jewish women who have reached a certain milestone in life. Empty-nesters or never-nesters, we are blessed with less responsibility and more “me” time to pursue what’s next — from passion projects, community service, to learning new hobbies and connecting with other women who share their same experiences and hope.
