We seek to celebrate Russian-speaking Jewish culture, traditions, and history while working together to create a thriving future for our community. We bring first and second-generation Russian-speaking Jews together through community engagement opportunities, philanthropic ventures, and social networking. RSJ Initiative furthers the mission of the Federation CJA’s vision of a vibrant, connected, and enduring Jewish community while embracing our shared heritage. Our goals are to: Provide innovative engagement and support grassroots initiatives within the community; Expand participants’ knowledge of Jewish heritage and connection to Jewish community; Develop leaders who will take ownership of planning RSJ programming in Greater Montreal area; Train participants to fundraise in order to build more sustainable programming; Promote and develop participants’ creative expression; Collaborate with partner agencies to lay the groundwork for local organizations to engage the RSJ community more effectively.
