Join Rebecca Starr as we dive into a variety of genres of Jewish themed literature in this lively discussion class. Students should read books in advance of class.
OCTOBER - One Hundred Saturdays by Michael Frank: The real-life biography of Stella Levi, who as a young child from Rhodes, Greece, survives Auschwitz.
NOVEMBER - An Undisturbed Peace by Mary Glickman: Beginning in the 1830s, Abraham Bento Sassporta Nagar is a peddler in North Carolina, after traveling from London, England.
DECEMBER - City of Promise: A Novel of New York’s Gilded Age by Beverly Swerling: This story begins at the end of the Civil War and winds through the evolution of New York City.
