ISRAEL 76

Hosted by

All Ages

Together with Rabbi Nico Socolovsky of Congregation Shir Hadash, and with the support of a wide range of community partners, Jewish Silicon Valley proudly announces this year's Yom Hazikaron & Yom Haatzmaut community gathering.

Centering on the events of October 7th, we will join in remembering the women, men, children, elders and soldiers who were murdered that day in the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

We will then make Havdallah- a ritual of distinction marking the transition from mourning (Yom Hazikaron*) to celebration of Israel’s existence on the 76 anniversary of its founding (Yom Ha'atzmaut*), enjoy different stations that focus on the KIBBUTZ on our lawn, host The Bagels band (from Arizona!) on the stage, and enjoy a BBQ dinner.

BBQ dinner is included in the ticket price.

This program is proudly supported by the Israel Engagement Fund: A JCC Association of North America Program Accelerator and the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs.

4:30pm: Doors Open: Intimate videos in remembrance of our fallen soldiers (auditorium)

5:00pm: Zikaron ceremony ending with Havdalah between Zikaron to Atzmaut

6:00pm: Guests will move from the auditorium to the APJCC field to enjoy a Kibutz journey

6:30pm: Rock band from Arizona "The Bagels" performing songs in Hebrew and English.

All ages and communities welcome!
