Cultivating Hope in a Post October 7th World

Hosted by

Young Adults

Join us for 🌱 “Cultivating Hope in a Post October 7th World” 🌍 on Sunday, February 25th at 2:00pm - 5:00pm. We'll talk about dealing with antisemitism locally in today's world. Hear from experts who speak to our Jewish young adult experience here in the SF Bay Area:

  • 👩‍🏫 Amy Albertson, a Jewish advocate & educator from California who empowers young Jews to be unapologetically Jewish, both online and in their everyday lives
  • 👨‍⚖️ District Attorney Jeff Rosen, a nationally recognized leader in criminal justice reform and vocal advocate for combating hate speech
  • 🙋‍♀️ Hilary Hawn, an educator, writer, and online advocate for the Jewish community who has dedicated the past 5 years to combatting antisemitism and teaching Jewish history and culture to whoever will listen.
  • 🧑‍💼 Oleg Ivanov, PhD, the Assistant Director of AJC San Francisco will be our moderator.

Program

🎙️ Powerhouse Panel — Participate in a session featuring expert panelists (including influential young adults) on antisemitism and Israel followed by Q and A.

Why now

Since October 7th, we’ve felt vulnerable being Jewish in the SF Bay Area. "Cultivating Hope in a Post October 7th World” provides a space for us (20 - 30somethings) to come together, learn, and find ways to take action that’s right for each of us. Let’s foster belonging, contribute to meaningful conversations, and navigate the complexities of a post-October 7th world with empowerment!
