Hosted by

College Students

"Act On It!" is an innovative 4-session program designed specifically for neurodivergent young adults seeking to enhance their social skills in a supportive and creative environment. Drawing inspiration from the principles and techniques of improvisational theater, this small-group series offers a unique and engaging approach to foster social growth through interactive games, exercises, and collaborative activities.

Participants are expected to attend all 4 sessions of the series: February 28, March 6, 13, and 20.

Why improv games?

  • The improv exercises that participants will engage in allow for the practice of spontaneity, active listening, and flexible, quick thinking.
  • Through these structured games, participants learn to navigate social situations with confidence and creativity, building a toolkit of adaptable communication skills.

Why learn social skills in a group?

  • Participants work closely with peers of similar experience, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
  • Group activities are designed to develop teamwork, cooperation, and the ability to navigate the complexities of real social dynamics.

Will this actually help me in the "real world"?

  • The social skills focused on in "Act On It!" are directly applicable to everyday social situations.
  • Through practice, participants can gain confidence and experience applying their social skills in diverse settings.

Take the next step in your pursuit of meaningful social connections and join us on this 4-week adventure!
