You're invited to come see us at our Montreal Pride - Community Days kiosk on Friday, August 11th! Our booth will be open from 11am to 4pm on the street in the Village. (Exact location: in front of 862 rue Sainte-Catherine Est, across from Place Dupuis; metro station: Berri-UQAM)
What is Community Days? Is it like a Pride Parade?
Not exactly - the Pride Parade is its own separate event that takes place this year on Sunday, August 13th. Community Days instead offers an all-ages general public the chance to "discover a multitude of organizations and community groups, businesses, sports and socio-cultural clubs involved with the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities."
Fierté Montreal describes Community Days as "an opportunity to meet new people, strengthen ties and especially to raise awareness and mobilize to advance the causes of our various communities, all in a festive and colorful tone." We'll be spreading the word about our activities and services as well as engaging with the public about what we do and who we are.
NOTE: Anyone & everyone (of any age, LGBTQIA+ and allies, Jewish and non-Jewish, etc.) are welcome at this event, which is open to the general public.
