L'Annexe is proud to announce the next session of our Drama Therapy Group for May and June 2023! It is essential that all prospective participants read the following information prior to pre-registering through this page.
What drama therapy is:
Drama therapy is an embodied therapeutic practice. It is the intentional use of theatre tools and techniques to explore meaning, facilitate insight, and make change.
What our group involves:
In this group, participants will explore and expand their understanding of self through group connection, play, imagination, and character development. Various exercises will encourage engagement and social connections. The group will also utilize metaphor and role play.
What drama therapy IS NOT:
This group is not a theater class, but rather a confidential, therapeutic space that will provide participants the opportunity to address areas of challenge.

About the facilitator:
Sasha Golvin holds a master’s degree in Expressive Art Therapy from Concordia University. They come to L’Annexe with experience working in both schools and community settings. Sasha utilizes a client-centered, strengths-based approach to drama therapy and animates their groups with energy, passion, and play.
Registrants may attend all sessions.
