Grandparents

Zikaron BaSalon is a new way to commemorate Yom Hashoah. It passes the torch from official ceremonies and mass assemblies to more intimate, meaningful and inspirational gatherings.

To honour the past and look to the present and future of Holocaust Remembrance, we invite you to an informal multigenerational discussion with Maxwell Smart and Eliane Goldstein.

Maxwell Smart is a successful businessman, accomplished artist, and memoirist of Chaos to Canvas – a recollection of surviving the Holocaust and making a new life in Montreal.

Eliane Goldstein is a teenager who started a podcast interviewing Holocaust survivors as a tween. Her podcast, The Effect On Us, emphasizes the impact of the Holocaust on survivors and subsequent generations.

Zikaron BaSalon began as an Israeli grassroots initiative. As such, we are thrilled to offer this program as a collaboration between families in Montreal (PJ Library) and Israeli scientists living in Montreal (ScienceAbroad).

Light refreshments will be served.

For parents, tweens, and teens.
