We know that navigating the grocery store with a budget these days can be a real challenge. That's why we want to get together to share tips and tricks for getting the most out of our time and money in the kitchen. Eating good food even with limited finances, time, and energy is possible!
Join us at L'Annexe, the Ometz Centre for Young Adults, on Tuesdays, May 17 and 31 from 5-7pm for hands-on activities in the kitchen, group discussions, recipes and techniques, and a special real-world challenge...
We'll explore:
- Do we have to compromise nutrition and price for convenience?
- Which things are worth buying in bulk and which might not be? Why?
- What techniques can we use while planning and shopping so that we have easy access to good food when we're busy or not feeling up to cooking for ourselves, without resorting to takeout from food delivery apps?
- & much more
Bring your questions and your ideas to the table (pun intended!) and be sure to join us for both sessions so that you can participate in our challenge and discover:
How far can you make $25 stretch in the grocery store?
(SPOILER: we will provide each participant a gift card and you will get to keep what you buy with it!)
Dinner will be served at both sessions (vegetarian and vegan-friendly*).
To join us, sign up by Friday, May 13 at the latest. Spots are limited!
