Maimonides is equally known for his treatment of law and philosophy. This session will examine the first section of his major legal work, the Mishneh Torah. Join us to see how he treats theological issues as legal ones and what their relevance is over 800 years later.

Six 60-minute Zoom sessions, on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.

Starting November 10^th and ending on December 15^th.

Presenter: Rabbi Avi Finegold

Avi Finegold is a Montrealer who received his rabbinic ordination more than 10 years ago. Until 2013, he worked in adult Jewish education in Chicago, where he taught in the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School and was a guest lecturer at different congregations there.When he returned to Montreal, he founded the Jewish Learning Lab – creating curriculum and educational plans for Jewish organizations. He is also creating programs specifically for adults, to assist the learner in progressing in their Jewish educational world.
